The musicians who have applied for positions with the first ever transgender orchestra in the world are excited to present the inaugural concert and touring season. But the income from ticket sales will only pay a small portion of the cost of paying our talented musicians to rehearse and perform or to rent the venue where you will sit. So we need donations. Without contributions, we can’t book the space in a venue. And we can’t risk asking musicians to play unless we know the money it costs to hire them is already in the bank. I can’t ask them to learn new music, practice and rehearse it with the whole group, and perform it! But many people prefer to donate only to non-profit organizations.
