Nonconformists Orchestra Quintet

NCO Quintet rides again! In this concert, the principal strings of the NCO will perform the same program that we have performed in Watertown the day before. The orchestral string quintet of the Non-Conformists Orchestra will perform music by gay composers such as Tchaikowsky in a free performance. Bring a chair or blanket. Handicap accessible public restrooms!

Nonconformists Orchestra Quintet

This is the season opener of The City of Watertown's Summer Concert Series. The orchestral string quintet of the Non-Conformists Orchestra will perform music by gay composers such as Tchaikowsky in a free performance at Saltonstall Park, 149 Main Street, Watertown. The concerts take place immediately following the Watertown Farmer's Market, from 6:30-8 PM. Audience members are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. The space is handicapped accessible.

Trans and Gender Expansive Art Showcase Will feature a performance by the concertmaster of the Non-Conformists Orchestra, Bunny Shilakowsky with orchestral pianist, Julian Drummond. Concert is free to the public and handicapped accessible. Program to include works of queer, black and women composers Ethel Smythe, Tchaikovsky, Aaron Copland, Arcangelo Corelli, Angela Morley, Gabriel Fauré and Maurice Ravel

The Trans & Gender Expansive Art Showcase aims to celebrate the creative imaginations and voices of trans and gender expansive artists. We hope to foster conversations regarding sociopolitical and personal meanings of gender, trans joy, and resistance through art.
